The Corp of Internationalilitis, commonly known as the CILUX is the Italian Air Force’s top commando unit. The name came about because it was supposed to be an acronym for “Commands in the Land”. It is currently the 7th greatest military division in the world, together with the US Marines and the US Navy. This is mainly due to the fact that it is stationed in the wake of Italy’s military defeat at the hands of the German Wehrmacht in the Second World War.

The term “C-corp de iluminat led” in the context of this article implies that the leaders of the said division are high flying, leatherneck types. In reality, however, such a description does not quite fit the situation. These leaders have a much more down to earth appearance; or rather, : corp de iluminat led their appearance reminds one of a low ranking waiter at a roadside eatery. Of course, that is far from being an apt description of the members of this elite commando unit.

Just as there is no such thing as the “C corp de iluminat led”, there is also no such thing as the “C.I. degresso” (C Italian word for Decorator). A typical leader of this elite tactical group wears a military uniform, composed of a jacket and pants, and a brass cap. On the part of his face he has a short beard, which gives him the appearance of a tailor. If you want to read about the life of this C Italian phrase, which translates to “commander in the skies” then all you need to do is follow the actions of Col. Giampietto Pagano, who commanded this air wing in World War II.

Pagano, who was born in Treviso, Italy, was an Air Force captain during World War II. He had already served in the Italian navy when he was called to duty for the first time in lend-lease duties in North America. He would serve until he was thirty-one years old, when he was ordered to fly combat missions over Britain and France. Most of Pagano’s troops were not expected to survive the experience, but there were a few that did. Among these was Col. Giampietto Pagano.

Pagano, together with two other officers, began to study the art of aerial bombardment, which includes radio work and electronic warfare. Although Pagano did not have any experience in this field, he knew that this was part of the job requirement for any Corp de iluminat that would accompany him over Britain and France. Pagano was assigned as an instructor with the bombardiers of the Corp de iluminat squadrons based at the Air Force School at Lorient, France. It was here that Pagano met his fellow classmate and fellow pilot, Frank Colli, who would become the plane owner that would become the inspiration for the role of Corp De Ileri in the movie Top Gun.

The name of the flying squadron that Pagano served with is Co D, also known as the Devil Dogs. The group’s official formation was created by Col. Paco Boniface, who was one of Pagano’s instructors at the Air Force School. The name of the plane that the squadron flew in the movie Top Gun was the “Aceieu”. The name of the company that owned the Aceieu was Grupo de Portugal, which stands for Grupo de Portugal, or Portugal.

The term “Corp de iluminat” in Top Gun was translated as “company of eliminators”, which translates into “army air”. The phrase was later changed to “composition of aircraft”, but this change made little difference because the expression has stuck. During World War II, the phrase became “flight crew” in reference to the pilots that were members of the flight crew, and not the pilots of the aircraft. The use of the term “Corp de iluminat” in Top Gun may be interpreted as an all inclusive term that included the names of the plane and its passengers, and the entire flight crew. In a popular television programme entitled Top Gun, the phrase was again used as the catch-all description of the whole operation.

During the 50th anniversary of the D-day, in 2021, the United States Army Air Corp began using the term” covilluminatores de la Comision” or “commissioned flying squadrons of the aerial group”. This was changed to “corporals of the air wing” or “flying squadrons of the air wing”. It was decided that the term was not sufficiently unique, so the word “led” was added to make it distinct from other Wing Terms. In common usage, the term “corporals of the wing” refers to a combined personnel element of the wing that is also responsible for the overall management of the aircraft. The word “lei” means “personnel officer”.
